Psychotomy

So, I’ve spent the weekends for something like 3 months cleaning the house piecemeal. then in january i had to crash out the living room. i got a lot of the crap from there into the basement room (certianly not using the sewing machine NOW!), but other bits went into the downstairs bedroom, k’s room, baby’s room.

so, even though i’ve thrown out a huge amount of crap, and i’ve worked my ass off, kiir’s mom is coming beginning of march. to help us clean. b/c “the house really needs it” …

why did i bother? i know it’s never good enough, and i know i can only do so much before i get pissy about it. especially when k’s following me all over going “wanna play wanna play?” and pregnant kiir is on the computer playing games like i wanna be doing :o

can’t rebuild the living room (and clear stuff out) until we get stuff from ikea. can’t get stuff from ikea until her mom comes, b/c what we’re trying to buy isn’t available online for her to just order for us. mom can’t (ok, CAN) come until we clean up the guest room. see beginning of annoying cycle.

can’t clean up baby’s room until I’ve got somewhere for all the cans of paint. can’t put away paint until downstairs bedroom is clear, since access to the unfinished room is through there, and that’s where I put the paint. can’t clean that until … see previous

can’t clear our bedroom until I figure out something to do with the old head/footboard from when we got the new kindbed in november. the queen parts don’t fit :o they’re likely to go to the big basement room. except it’s full, see living room. deteriorate from there :/ and even when i move it, then i’ve got 6 baskets upstairs and probably 3 more worth on the bed downstairs to put away. of course, THEN i can get into the master closet, which means ripping it out and putting in new shelving/etc instead of one really long ass bar that we really don’t need all of.

K’s room and the kitchen. I can clean those without the living room. which means it’s time to get creative about the living room and move stuff to pretend i did the living room. or wait 3 weeks for mom to come and everyone can tell me what a piss poor job i do maintaining the house. wheeeeeee.

wonder if i can just play vanguard until then and ignore the rest of it?
