Psychotomy

So, I’ve got http://attriel.psychotomy.net/crypt/ but since i got distracted it fell into disuse. And I’m thinking about reviving it, probably kickbooting it and starting it over.

I’ve also been thinking of expanding it beyond just crypto, so I can have a few other topics that I can toss up when I don’t feel like doing a big crypto breakdown (the current lull happened because of the freakin’ length of doing a DES encryption ; in the future, I think I’d break it up …)

That said, I’m thinking of flipping that blog to one of the hosting sites. Either wordpress.com, because I’m used to WP here, or google’s blog thing (blogspot/blogger). Big downer — the name I wanted is taken. Which certainly gives some power to the concept of setting it up myself (and on both sites, the blog that takes my preferred name is totally devoid ; default when you make a new blog). So either way I need a new url if i want to use it there. The benefit of moving, however, is two fold –

1) if i decide I don’t want to keep up the server anymore, I’ll have to move everything anyway.
2) Both have a default bar at the top of the screen for “go to next random blog”, which would allow for more visibility

Staying local …

1. From what I can tell, I think i get much better command over how the layout is built. Not that I do that much with my layouts, but the option
2. I get the name I want …

In general, I think I’m talking myself back around to local, just for the control I’d have. So that’ll end up waiting until I finish the server rebuild, I think.
