Created myself a bruiser (basher? something like that; it’s kindof the tank class) this weekend
He has the dark melee attack power, which is what my CoH scrapper uses, and invulnerability for defensive. In release i may change the latter, just b/c i know invuln was a really popular build just b/c it was so effective. not t hat i have anything against effectiveness. i juts like to NOT be villain_0023542 clone :o
But the bruisers have a nice feature. Fury. or rage, whichever. as they take damage, they get pissed off. whole old meaning to “you wouldn’t like me when i’m angry”. Went from my strong attack dealing half damage on a mob to my weak attack almost one shotting them. In the breakout tutorial area there are mobs of mobs, and they just keep spawningtoo. so i waded in and started attacking. and my health was down to half, but i’d blown through the group three times and was oneshotting almost everything i hit :o mmmm pissed off scrapper/tank!

over the weekend they didsome kind of load test, wanted as many people as possible to get on at once to determine if they could extend the hours of the beta.
don’t ask me, i don’t make this shit up
so, bunches got on. server lagged to nothing. rubberbanding of like 5 minutes, all kindsa fun.
don’t know if they’re extending or not, but tonight i log in, 3 red bubbles, heavy load. insane. useless. but once you got into an instanced mission it was fine :)
digging the newspaper dealio for missions. since i don’t have to run across the zone to pick up a new newspaper at the end of every mission :)
made it to 10th tonight with my robot mastermind. thinking i’m digging the mercs that i have with the other MM i created last night. hard to tell when you can barely move, of course.
they need more servers. but it’s the test servers, and once people are playing, how many really visit test anyway?

went ahead and cancelled EQ2 today. I haven’t played since a week before the expansion came out . that was two weeks ago. I really don’t miss it, either.
went to play CoV, but there’s a 1G patch that they put up yesterday for folks to download, but being as i was at my dad’s retirement party … i didn’t :o
logged into CoH. worked off my debt from the weekend. then I died, DOH! but it’s relaxing, running around and beating things up. ahh.
