No no, i mean tha literally, basically.

Apparently I have a “pilondial cyst” which got infected. Her words upon seeing it were comforting and reassuring. “Holy CRAP! That’s HUGE!” OK, not so comforting, and not particularly reassuring. But otherwise :o

She then commented “well, at least we won’t have to cut it, it’s already draining” followed IMMEDIATELY by “hrrm, guess I spoke too soon. It’ll take all day to drain through that little hole. Gonna have to cut it.”

No anaesthetic, b/c apparently the needle would’ve hurt as much as cutting, and been perfectly useless. OUCH!!! So she cut and drained it. Gave me a barrage of antibiotics, and I’m supposed to take 15-20 minute bathes 3-4 times today. Going back tomorrow so she can look at it cleaned out and not oozing.

If I’m lucky, it’s just a cyst and i have the option of surgery to get it removed so this don’t happen again. If I’m not, it’s a rectal absess or something, and i need major surgery so they can take a piece out of my ass.

seroius pain in the ass! hurts to sit, hurts to walk. hurts to lay down on my back. hurts roll over, get in or out of the car. GAH!

apparently i bruised my coccyx. or something.

(the tailbone; bottom of the spine where it meets/threads the pelvis. base of the back, top of your ass)

APPARENTLY I bruised, battered, and beat it badly enough that it’s been hurting for TWO WEEKS to some degree. I have zero recollection of this, of course. You’d think I’d remember something like that !!!

Got so bad today that I could barely sit. Every tiem I shift weight, some presses on the coccyx, and there’s this wonderful screaming pain in my ass. Went to chiro (dr’s not in on mondays. or fridays. or thursday afternoon. or tuesday morning. i know she has another practice/office, but DAMN!). he suggests that, other than just bruising/spraining it, i might have pinched a nerve with it too. he adjusted my back and it felt a lot better. gonna hit hte gym in the morning for some solid stretches, see if maybe it pops back into place/alignment/whatever and lets me SIT AND WALK AGAIN!!!

gah. ow. fuck.

holy crap, we spent a lot this week

between the sewing machine last week, a lot of stuff we bought for practicing with the sewing machine and then actually using hte sewingmachine, putting in the freezer and stockign up the freezer, JESUS!!!

oi. but we should (*SHOULD*) be reaching the end of the tunnel. tuesday I’m gonna talk to my manager about getting kiir hired up as the team assistant, to handle the email queues and other crap i don’t honestly have time (or inclination) for. and there’s plenty of it, since she can deal with the mindless xut/vaste jobs.

hopefully that’ll go off OK. b/c we need more money, and i do too much shit at the office :o

apparently I suck at shopping trips.

went out to the grocery store earlier b/c I needed a can of vegetable broth for the black bean soup (needs 2 i had 1). I spent 78$ on a can of vegetable broth!!! Then we went out later to buy labels for hte tupperwares of soup we have in the freezer, and ended up spending like 850$ on ‘em!

Now, in defense, the soup broth trip did net us 103$ in free stuff, like bread and fish sticks and things of that nature. And the labels trip got some Pirates cards, soda, a thousand dollar sewing machine, some patterns, and a couple other odds and ends.

But damn, I suck at shopping. 925$ on what should have been like 5$ worth of stuff. oi.

So, forgot my pill last night. I had 7 left when i called in my refill order a week and a half ago. I still have 1 more.

But of course, if i forget my pill I’m bitchy (bitchier?), short tempered, and i have no ability to focus or concentrate on anything long enough to get any real work done. Actually, even when i remember it it’s hit or miss whehter i can focus completely and get anything significant going.

*sigh*

So I went home early, b/c I spent the morning doing wha should have taken like 20 minutes or so. This sucks. I’m gonna go beat things up in CoH now, b/c thta doesn’t really need focus :)

tried to isntall the stylecatcher plugin, to make style changes easier, but after two evenings of working my way through all the code and figuring out how to get stacktraces when i don’t know where i’m going and getting debugging info from a CGI …

AFAICT DBD::mysql doesn’t support blobs. and the plugindata field is a blob. and so it can’t succesfully save my settings, and thus keeps wanting me to set my settings. even immediately after the sucker says “settings sucessfully saved” it can’t find the settings.

suckage. so i’ll do it hte old fashioned (read manual) way :o

So today was talk like a pirate day.

Yeah, so I didn’t do that :) But we decided to go out and buy rum this evening for Drink Like a Pirate Night instead. Also had to swap out the PSU on my desktop box b/c the old fan was blowing out. Yay an’ stuff.

Uh. Yeah. an’ stuff. stay tuned. woh knows, it may get interesting eventually :o
