so this morning, i get in the car and go to switch my ipod to the hindi lesson (i’m on #6 now) …
switch it over, hit play then pause so i can hook up the iTrip for the radio hookup and … uh …
it’s not pausing. it’s not playing. Really, it’s doing shitall. I take off the itrip, no change. push the button to lock, nothing. unlock, nothing. lock, no lock icon even appearing? wow uh …
pause, forward, back, menu … nothing …
screen’s all lit up like i’m hitting buttons … except i’m not. Actually, I haven’t been for over 3 hours now. it’s just sitting in my jacket. hung.
apparently ipods need a powerbutton or something :o hoping it’ll drain out and reboot back to happy fine normal. Or i’m going back to the apple store and turning in ANOTHER ipod :o and i’m still inside the ORIGINAL warranty no less :o
ok, he may not be a quack. o nly talked to him once, so far, and i have to give him credti for giving me back my lexapro. like night and day, christ. last night i wasn’t yelling at k every time he barked, i was OK with taking him out (well, the first 3 times in 10 minutes anyway, then it got annoying :o). I wasn’t trying to play on the computer, which is when he usually gets even worse, but it’s a start
anyway, another thing i remembered from monday. he asked if i drank any beverages with caffeine in them. i said yes, he asked how much. so i told him 2 cans and a bottle, maybe, of soda. he got this BOGGLE look on his face like “OMFG! how can you drink that much and not die??? you’re a complete freak!!!” … which is strange, considering how much coffee most people (including, i bet, him) drink in a day. i’m not that much more in oz’s and i think coffee has a higher caffeine count.
and he seemed kinda disappointed that i wasn’t doing meth or something. maybe he wanted to score some :o
Went and called a psychiatrist last week. Since my doc’s changed me multiple times lately, and the meds have been getting steadily WORSE! (ie : i quit carrying my pocketknife under a week after switching to the welbutrin … b/c i decided it would be bad if i didn’t)
go in today, apparently shock the heck out of him on a few occassions (he doesn’t believe i’m really 215lbs; and he seemed a little unsure when i was upfront and straightforward to some of his questions)
he decided that i don’t have ADHD b/c i didn’t have a reserved seat in detention and i passed my classes in gradeschool … apparently you can’t have a disorder unless you’re mentally fucked and morally whacked.
unsurprisingly, my indian doc defended my indian father’s inability to sit still as “he’s a workaholic”. Got confused when i told him my wife was jewish not indian …
wasn’t too comfortable with the part where he asked “have you ever had thoughts of hurting yourself?” “yeah. never wanted to reall kill myself, more cutting myself up for attention, then hiding it so people wouldn’t notice”
I think the one he REALLY liked was “have you thought of hurting anyone else?” “my boss. but that’s more b/c i don’t like them than anything else” “i mean, i don’t want to kill them, i just wanna beat on them b/c they’re stupid and annoying. I don’t intend to actualyl do anything to them, i just wish they’d shut up and go away”

i wonder if that’s gonna come back and bite me in the ass? …
anyway, he left me on welbutrin (b/c THAT’s been working fucking well) and put me back on lexapro. at 10. B/c he won’t do 40 “the usual dosage is 20mg” … do these peopel not understand that “usual” “averge” and “customary” all mean “but can differ” ??? jesus.
we’ll up my lexa to 20 if 10′s not doing enough, in 2 weeks. whee
inspector guy never showed yesterday. so we’re not really sure if K’s clear (the 10 days are up) or not (it says they’ll come back at the end of the quarantine)
Which means, at the least, that K’s not going to make it to his 9AM playsession on time. B/c the guy I need to call hasn’t come in yet (been calling sincei got up at 7:30 :o) Hopefully he gets in at 9, and will say “yeah, you’re fine unless he’s showing any behaviour changes/etc” then K can get there 9:30 or 10.
If this takes all day again, however, i’m going to be annoyed. And looking into getting him a saturday date, b/c my antidepressants don’t let me get through a whole day of him whimpering and whining about wanting to play.
Took him out for 45 minutes yesterday. Violated the rules by playing ball with him on the soccer fields, then a 5 mile walk to/around hte lake. tired him out a bunch, but that’s gone now :o
Edit: Guy got in about 8:50. I know this b/c he wasn’t there at 8:45 and was at 8:55 (my clock is 10 fast apparently). Got the go ahead, but he wanted to see K so met me at petsmart. He said K looked fine and so K is in camp, now. an hour later than he wanted, but he was still only the 6th dog into the room ;)
So, we’re down to 33 hours. I’ve made it 8? days without him getting camp. The weekend was the hardest (tomorrow’s not going to be fun either) b/c i was home all day. Turns out when he’s all whimpery and whiny, it only takes a few hours to burn through my “all day” antidepressant :/
the health&human services / animal control guy should be coming back tomorrow to say “yep, he doesn’t have rabies, he must have bitten her for some reason other than being a psychotic killer” Such as he was spooked and thought he was being attacked?
And then the following morning, K gets to make his triumphant (and vindicated) return. I’m trying to teach him to prance for when we go back ;) And bailey’s in solitary, theoretically indefinitely, so that’s good. Couldn’t happen to a nicer person.
went by today to change hs thursday to friday and put a note on his record to move him to big dogs if bailey is there.
apparently bailey isn’t allowed in day camp anyway, he harrasses the dogs (duh). apparently he isn’t allowed in BIG DOG daycamp either. Because he harasses the dogs. This should set of alarms :o so they have him restricted to day care only (they keep him for the day, and he gets 2 30-min play periods). I guess they put care in with camp for hteir playtimes, b/c this didn’t sound like a new restriction :o
so K has a note on his record that he is NEVER to be placed in a situation that MIGHT lead to him associating with bailey in ANY way. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
And bailey has a note restriting him to solo-play. indefinitely :o he’s on solitary confinement! YES! F***ER! HAH!
Also got more details on what happened a week ago. Apparently he bit K once, and then kept going for him, and K kept trying to back away and get away from the psycho. And the girl reached down to get K to keep him from getting bitten, and he spooked. Frankly, I’d've picked up bailey, since he was the one CAUSING trouble, but they might have figured K was less of a danger since he’s always so calm and personable. Except, apparently, when a jackass has bitten him and left him bleeding. Then he is (understandably, i think) less personable and a little more edgy :o
thursday K would have gone to camp for te second trip. but, obviously, he didn’t.
the other break is usually a day longer, so friday was the sunday in effect. i came home midday to take him for a walk since we were going to les mis and he was going to be stuck at home needing to go to the bathroom for about 5 or 6 hours longer than usual. so he got a midday walk.
today is time+1. getting a bit hyper and annoying. but he’s OK still, so far. by friday, however, this is gonna suck :o
so i started playing eq again :o
kiir was restarting her account the other day, so i decided to relaunch mine. i like the game an’ all, but i HATE soloing. of course, it;’s been less than a week and i’m back soloing again :/
problem is, i was soloing 99% of the time in CoV/CoH lately, and there’s not many other options in CivIV :o
and my only other option at that point is watching netflix. which i’ve done a lot of lately since i quit eq2 the last time !!
So, got the call this morning. My iPOD “failed the battrey test”. Which means that the part where it kept running out of battery wasn’t just me. It’s really FUBAR.
I bet that happened around when it flipped out. I’d hook it up to the computer, but it would never fiinish “updating”. and i’d have to eject it to charge. Really annoying. Cleared up eventually when i reinitialized and got a new ipod software update.
Anyway, they “have a replacement in stock” so we’re gonna go up tomorrow probably and pick it up. Gonna lose the customization (the engraving), but I wasn’t really attached to that. And i can probably take it to an engraving place and get something put up for 20 or 30$. Maybe a little more, if I want more than just a few words like apple gave me. Anyway, too bad. Woulda been nice to get a free upgrade to the nano since htey don’t sell mini’s anymore :)
